In 2020, after eighteen years in the tax return world, I was provided an opportunity to join a multi-day tax webinar instead of the usual one-day federal tax update. I was stoked (geeky, I know)! Throughout each lecture, I realized that I needed to do something out-of-the-box in regards to my career. I made the decision to become an Enrolled Agent.

I studied for months, took test upon test and after passing them all, I earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the IRS as an Enrolled Agent. I spent the next three years experiencing the virtual world of tax professionals, preparing complex business and individual tax returns and learning how find and implement income tax saving opportunities.

And then I started Ask Anna Tax!

As an EA I have the pleasure of working with, advocating for and strategizing with people as we create plans around specific tax return situations. I am especially proud to support Women- and LGBTQ+ owned businesses. And I love sharing tax advice that can save my clients thousands of tax dollars!
